Read MoreThe Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) January 2026 result has now been officially declared by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on the official website natboard.edu.in. This marks a significant milestone for thousands of foreign medical graduates who appeared for this critical screening test to practice medicine in India.
FMGE is a mandatory screening examination for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have graduated from overseas medical schools and desire to obtain a valid medical license in India.
The FMGE Jan 2026 results were published online as a PDF containing the list of candidates and qualifying status. Students can now access their results from the official NBEMS portal natboard.edu.in.
Here’s what candidates need to know:
✔️ Result Declaration: FMGE Jan 2026 result has been posted on the NBEMS website.
✔️ Scorecards Availability: Individual FMGE scorecards will be available from February 6 onwards.
✔️ Official Website: Visit natboard.edu.in to download your scorecard PDF once released.
The FMGE results PDF typically includes:
Roll Number
Application Number
Total Marks (out of 300)
Pass / Fail Status
You can search for your roll number in the result document to see your qualifying status.
To qualify the FMGE Jan 2026 examination, candidates must secure at least 150 marks out of 300, which is equivalent to 50% of the total score. There is no category-based cutoff — the same qualifying standard applies to all candidates.
Once available from Feb 6, here are the steps to download your FMGE Scorecard:
Visit the official NBEMS result portal: natboard.edu.in.
Navigate to the “Results” or “Examination” tab.
Select FMGE Jan 2026 Scorecard link.
Enter your User ID / Application Number and Password.
Save or download your scorecard PDF for future reference.
📌 Tip: Keep multiple printouts of your scorecard and verify your details like name, marks, and roll number.
Candidates who qualify FMGE Jan 2026 will receive a Pass Certificate from NBEMS after completing necessary document verification and identity checks.
Once you have your Pass Certificate, you can proceed to:
Apply for Provisional or Permanent medical registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or
Register with the appropriate State Medical Council to begin your medical practice in India.
✔️ FMGE is not a ranking exam — it’s strictly pass/fail based on 150 marks.
✔️ Scorecards are accessible online and are valid for a limited time — usually six months from declaration.
✔️ Keep your login credentials (User ID / Password) ready before attempting to download.
Waiting for the FMGE result can be a nerve-racking period for many medical graduates. Now that the FMGE Jan 2026 result is out on natboard.edu.in, candidates should promptly download their scorecards starting Feb 6 onwards, verify their details, and start planning the next steps towards earning their medical license in India.
Best wishes to all candidates for your future in medical practice!
