• Flagship Hospital: Yes, AIIMS Rajkot runs a large, multi-super specialty teaching hospital directly integrated within its campus. The In-Patient Department (IPD) services were formally inaugurated in February 2024.

• Scale & Services: The hospital is a major tertiary care referral center for the region.

• Capacity: Planned for a total capacity of 750 beds (including ICU and super-specialty beds). A 250-bed IPD is functional.

• Services: Offers comprehensive healthcare across numerous specialties and super-specialties. It features 24x7 Emergency & Trauma, advanced Critical Care units, 23 modular Operation Theatres, and modern diagnostic machines (MRI, CT, Ultrasonography).

• Dining: Mess facilities are compulsory for all hostellers. The mess is run by a student committee.

Admissions Process (National Level Only)

Admission to AIIMS Rajkot is not handled by the Gujarat state counselling (ACPUGMEC). It is done exclusively through national-level counselling.

• MBBS: Admission is strictly based on rank obtained in the NEET-UG examination. Counselling and seat allotment for 100% of seats are conducted centrally by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS, Govt. of India under the 'AIIMS' category.

• MD / MS / MDS / DM / M.Ch: Admission is strictly based on rank obtained in the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) or INI-SS (for Super Specialty), conducted by AIIMS Delhi.

• B.Sc (Hons) Nursing: Admission is based on the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Entrance Examination conducted annually by AIIMS Delhi, followed by centralized counselling.
