The institution is officially the Government Medical College, Chhindwara, also named Chhindwara Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS). It is a new Government Medical College located in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. Established in 2019, CIMS is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is affiliated with the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU), Jabalpur.
