Healthcare Pillar: Government General Hospital, Vizianagaram

The college is attached to the main government hospital in the district, which has been upgraded to serve as its teaching hospital.

• Flagship Hospital: The Government General Hospital, Vizianagaram (upgraded from the District Hospital in October 2022) serves as the associated teaching hospital.

• Scale & Services: This is a major tertiary care referral hospital for the district, ensuring a high volume of patients for clinical training.

Campus Living: Hostel Facilities

Admissions Process: NEET & State Counselling (AP)

Career Pathways & Placements

• Career Path: As a new government medical college, the career path is well-defined.

• Internship: After 4.5 years, MBBS graduates will complete a mandatory 1-year rotatory internship at the Government General Hospital, Vizianagaram, for which they will receive a stipend as per state government norms.

• Post-Graduation: Graduates will be eligible to appear for the NEET-PG exam to pursue postgraduate specialization (MD/MS) or can become Medical Officers in government or private service.
