North Bengal Medical College & Hospital (NBMC) is a premier public State Government Medical College located in Sushrutanagar, near Siliguri, Darjeeling district, West Bengal. Established in 1968 (as North Bengal University Medical College) and renamed in 1978, it is the largest tertiary care referral hospital and medical college for the entire North Bengal region and neighboring countries like Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh.
The college is academically affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS), Kolkata, which is the state's governing university for all health science colleges. All degrees (MBBS, MD/MS) are awarded by WBUHS.
