Founded in 1575, the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) is one of the world's leading academic medical centers.   • You will get a B.Sc. in Medicine (3 years) and an M.Sc. in Medicine (3 years). Six years in total.
  • Language of instruction: mostly Dutch for the clinical phases of the Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
  • Accreditation: The NVAO (Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders) and the WHO both recognize it.
  • Requirements for Admission:
  • Numerus Fixus: Admission is very competitive because there are only a few seats (312 students for the Bachelor's).
  • Language: To get a degree in medicine, you must be fluent in Dutch (NT2-II).
  • Selection: Starting in January, there will be a multi-stage selection process that includes both cognitive and non-cognitive tests.
  • To get a diploma, you need to have one that is equal to the Dutch VWO (pre-university) diploma in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math.
