Marks Medical College is another private college frequently recommended by Indian consultants because of its low total cost package, and it has been operational since 2011 from the premises of Mirpur-14 located within the confines of Dhaka city itself in contrast to some other private colleges lying far away from the capital city.

The college started off with an intake of about 50 MBBS students in 2011 and has increased its intake capacity as well as added a sister college, MARKS Dental College, in 2015, making it run two separate programs (medical and dental) at one campus.

Why Marks Medical College Deserves a Harder Look

Marks is often viewed as a budget alternative by many consultants, yet it does not make it less prestigiouit has the same University of Dhaka accreditation and BMDC approval as any other legitimate Bangladesh MBBS college should.

Since Marks is located within the limits of Dhaka city in the Mirpur-14 area, students will have access to urban transport and facilities and to the greater Dhaka medical community, rather than the secluded location of rural private colleges.
