• Complejo Hospitalario Universitario Insular-Materno Infantil: Located just steps from the faculty, this is the primary teaching hub, particularly for pediatrics and obstetrics.

• Hospital Universitario de Gran Canaria Doctor Negrín: A leading referral center for advanced surgical specialties and medical research.

• Primary Care Network: Students also rotate through various urban and rural health centers across the island.

• Rates: Prices for a single room with full board (meals included) are approximately €550 – €675 per month (depending on subsidies).

• Dining (Mess):

• The San Cristóbal Campus has a university canteen offering subsidized "Menú del Día" for students (approx. €6 – €8).

• University residences typically provide a full-board meal plan as part of the monthly fee.

Admissions Process (2025 Intake)

Admission to Medicine is highly competitive and determined by academic merit.

1. Cut-off Score (Nota de Corte): For Medicine, the entry score is usually very high, typically above 12.9 out of 14.0.

2. International Entry: Non-Spanish students must process their credentials through UNEDasiss.

3. PCE Exams: To boost your score, taking the Specific Competency Tests (PCE) in Biology and Chemistry is highly recommended.

4. Language: B2 Spanish is essential, as patient interaction during hospital rotations is entirely in Spanish.
