NEET UG 2026: NTA Issues Important Advisory on Aadhaar, Category & UDID Updates

The National Testing Agency (NTA has released an official public notice dated 05 January 2026 regarding important instructions for candidates appearing in NEET (UG) 2026. As per the advisory, all aspirants are strongly advised to ensure that their mandatory documents are accurate, valid, and updated well before filling out the NEET UG 2026 online application form.

According to the notice, candidates must verify and update their Aadhaar Card details, including name, date of birth, gender, photograph, address, and biometric information, to avoid discrepancies during the application or verification process. Any required corrections should be completed by following the guidelines issued by UIDAI through its official portals.

In addition, candidates belonging to reserved categories must ensure that their Category Certificates (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) are valid and updated. Aspirants with disabilities are also advised to check the validity and renewal status of their UDID Card, wherever applicable.

NTA has advised students to regularly visit the official websites for the latest updates related to NEET UG 2026. Aspirants are encouraged to complete all document updates in advance to prevent rejection or delays during the admission process.
