Founded in 1998, the International University of the Health Sciences (IUHS) is a private medical school with its main campus in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and administrative headquarters in Winnipeg, Canada. IUHS is a pioneer in "distributed medical education," utilizing a unique hybrid model that allows students to complete pre-clinical sciences from their home countries through an advanced online platform, followed by in-person clinical rotations at affiliated hospitals worldwide.
While IUHS emphasizes a distributed learning model, it maintains a physical presence and specialized digital infrastructure for its global student body.
