Established in 2024, Autonomous State Medical College (ASMC), Amethi is one of the newest government medical institutions in Uttar Pradesh. It was established under the state government's "one district, one medical college" initiative to strengthen tertiary healthcare and medical education in the Amethi region. The college is affiliated with King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, and is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Admission Requirements:
Selection: Based on NEET-UG scores via centralized counseling (15% All India Quota via MCC and 85% State Quota via DGME, UP).
Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (Minimum 50% for UR, 40% for SC/ST/OBC).
Intake: 100 seats per academic year.

Associated Hospital: The college is currently attached to a 200-bed hospital in Rastamau, Tiloi.
Expansion Plans: A new 300-bed hospital and a 50-bed critical care block are scheduled to become fully operational by early 2026, bringing the total capacity to 550 beds.
Clinical Exposure: The hospital serves the semi-urban and rural population of Amethi, providing students with a diverse range of clinical cases in General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and OB-GYN.
Diagnostics: Equipped with essential radiology (X-ray, Ultrasound) and laboratory services, with advanced diagnostic units (CT/MRI) part of the ongoing expansion.

Scholarships
