Established in 2019, Maharaja Suheldev Autonomous State Medical College (ASMC), Bahraich is a prestigious government medical institution named after the legendary local hero, Maharaja Suheldev. It was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to bridge the gap in tertiary healthcare in the eastern region of the state. The college is affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow (previously affiliated with King George’s Medical University) and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Scholarships

Internship Stipend: Graduates receive a monthly stipend (currently approx. ₹12,000) during their mandatory 12-month clinical rotation.
