General Information

Founded in 1974 with a mission to revolutionize healthcare in the Negev desert, BGU’s Faculty of Health Sciences (FOHS) is globally recognized for its "Bio-Psycho-Social" approach to medicine. Unlike traditional schools, BGU integrates community health and patient-centered care from the very first week of study. It is home to the world-renowned Medical School for International Health (MSIH), a collaboration with Columbia University (USA) that focuses on Global Health. Recognized by the WFME and ECFMG, BGU is the primary training ground for physicians in Southern Israel, blending high-tech medical research with a deep commitment to the region's diverse Bedouin and urban populations.
