Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College, Pune

The campus infrastructure, developed as a high-cost project (approx. ₹944 Crores), includes:

• Academic Block: Features four modern, equipped Classrooms, a Skill Lab for practical training, and dedicated departments for pre- and para-clinical subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, etc.).

• Hostel: Separate, newly constructed hostel buildings for Girls, Boys, and Staff with a total of 283 rooms, accommodating over 650 people.

• Amenities: Separate dining spaces, a library, computer room, and recreation areas are provided in the hostel complex.

BAVMC is associated with existing and new hospital facilities to ensure adequate clinical exposure for its students.

Teaching Hospital

The college is primarily affiliated with the new Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hospital project, which includes:

• Bed Capacity: A modern, well-equipped hospital with a total capacity of 700 beds (as per the PMC project details).

• Existing Affiliation: The college also leverages the clinical material from Kamla Nehru Hospital, a major hospital run by the Pune Municipal Corporation.

• Infrastructure: The new hospital building is a multi-story complex (two basements, ground floor, and 8 floors) designed to provide comprehensive medical treatments and 24x7 emergency care.

The Vibe: Located in the heart of Pune city at Mangalwar Peth, the college is situated in a high-density urban area. This central location ensures a massive and diverse patient inflow, which is a significant advantage for clinical training.
