General Information

The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Rabat (FMPR), part of Mohammed V University (UM5), is the oldest and most prestigious public medical school in Morocco. Established in 1962, it is the primary training ground for the country’s healthcare leaders and is recognized for its academic rigor and its connection to the largest hospital complex in the Maghreb.

    As a public university, the cost varies significantly based on how you apply:

    • Moroccan Students: Tuition is free. There are only symbolic administrative fees (approx. 500 MAD).

    • International Students (AMCI Quota): Most international students (especially from Africa and the Middle East) apply through the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI). If admitted through this government scholarship, tuition is free, and you may receive a monthly stipend.

    • Direct International Enrollment: For students not under the AMCI quota, fees are roughly 10,000 to 20,000 MAD per year ($1,000 – $2,000 USD), which remains highly affordable compared to private options.
