General Information
Established in 2023 (with the first batch admitted in 2024), Government Medical College (GMC), Buldhana is a newly founded state-run medical institution in Maharashtra. It was established to strengthen medical education and tertiary healthcare in the Buldhana district of the Vidarbha region. The college is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (Minimum 50% for Open/EWS, 40% for Reserved categories).
Intake: 100 seats per academic year.

420-Bedded Teaching Hospital: A combined capacity across the two attached government hospitals, serving as a primary and tertiary care center for the district.

Specialized Units: Features an ICU, Sick Newborn Care Unit (SNCU), High Dependency Unit (HDU), and a Hemodialysis unit.

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scheme: Provides a 50% tuition fee waiver for EWS and SEBC students with an annual family income below ₹8 Lakhs.
Internship Stipend: During the mandatory one-year internship, students receive a monthly stipend (currently approx. ₹18,000) as per Maharashtra government rules.

Miscellaneous
Service Bond: Graduates are required to sign a mandatory one-year social responsibility service bond (Rural Service) in Maharashtra or pay a penalty of ₹10 Lakhs.
