The Medical College and Hospital (MCH), Kolkata, is officially known as Medical College, Kolkata. It is the oldest medical institution in Asia (and the second oldest in the world to teach modern medicine), established in 1835. MCH is a premier Government Medical College recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS).
