• Location: The campus is located at Rangalikhata, Kokrajhar, BTR, Assam. It is situated in a picturesque landscape encompassing forests and hills.

• Campus Size & Vibe: The campus is spread over 81.75 acres. It is a modern, integrated campus designed to facilitate a comprehensive educational experience, housing academic blocks, a teaching hospital, and residential quarters.

• Academic Blocks: Features modern lecture halls (including 3 smart classrooms), demonstration rooms, and a large examination hall.

The college is attached to its own large, newly established teaching hospital.

• Flagship Hospital: The Kokrajhar Medical College Hospital is the constituent teaching hospital, fully integrated with the medical college.

• Scale & Services: This is the primary tertiary care referral hospital for the Bodoland Territorial Region.

• Capacity: A large hospital with 500+ beds.

• Services: Provides comprehensive healthcare services across all major clinical specialties (General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pulmonology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Anaesthesiology, and Radiology).

• Facilities: Features modern facilities including modular operation theatres, well-equipped laboratories, a state-of-the-art blood bank, high-powered imaging machines, and Intensive Care Units (ICUs) with a central gas pipeline. Admissions Process: NEET & State Counselling (Assam)

• Getting Admitted (MBBS): Admission is strictly and exclusively based on qualifying ranks in NEET-UG.

• State Counselling is Key (Assam): Seat allotment is handled entirely through the Assam State Centralized Counselling Process conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam.

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ): Seats are filled through the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) counselling, open to students from all over India.

• 85% State Quota: Seats are reserved for students with Assam domicile and are filled through the DME, Assam state counselling.

Career Pathways & Placements

• Career Path: As a new government medical college, the career path is well-defined.

• Internship: After 4.5 years, MBBS graduates will complete a mandatory 1-year rotatory internship at the Kokrajhar Medical College Hospital, for which they will receive a stipend as per state government norms.

• Bond: A mandatory service bond (e.g., 5 years rural/10 years urban service) with a significant penalty clause (e.g., ₹30 Lakhs) for default applies to graduates, as is standard in Assam.
