Founded in 1924 as the "Lytton Medical School" and upgraded to a medical college in 1962, Mymensingh Medical College (MMC) is one of the oldest and most respected government medical institutions in Bangladesh. Located in the Mymensingh district (Dhaka Division), it is affiliated with the University of Dhaka and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). MMC is world-renowned for its rigorous academic culture and its publication, the Mymensingh Medical Journal, which is indexed in MEDLINE/PubMed.
