Nahda University in Beni Suef (NUB), established in 2006, is the first private university in Upper Egypt. Its Faculty of Medicine was inaugurated in 2019 through a high-profile academic partnership with the Medical University of Vienna, one of the oldest and most prestigious medical schools in Europe.
