Established in 2024 (with the first MBBS batch commencing in the 2025–26 session), Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Medical College & Hospital (PMPMCH) is a state-run medical institution located in the industrial town of Talcher, Odisha. Originally initiated by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project, the college was later handed over to the Government of Odisha to ensure affordable, high-quality medical education and tertiary healthcare for the coal-belt region. The college is affiliated with the Odisha University of Health Sciences (OUHS), Bhubaneswar, and is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
