Established in 1969 and integrated into the Technion in 1973, the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine is a world-renowned center for medical excellence and the first medical school in Israel to be part of a technological institute. Located in the Bat Galim neighborhood of Haifa, adjacent to the Rambam Health Care Campus, it is the home of two Nobel Laureates (Professors Avram Hershko and Aaron Ciechanover). Recognized by the WFME and ECFMG, the Technion is famous for its "Technion-Medicine" philosophy, which fuses engineering, life sciences, and clinical medicine. It offers an elite American Medical School (TeAMS) track for North American students and a standard 6-year Hebrew track with a heavy focus on medical innovation and research.
The faculty is housed in a 14-story modern complex integrated with clinical and research facilities.
