The Sarajevo Medical School is a prominent department within the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST), a leading private university in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is known for its high academic standards and its status as a "double-degree" institution, often collaborating with international partners like the University of Buckingham (UK).
Established: 2014 (University founded in 2004).
Language: 100% English-medium curriculum.
Double Degree: Many programs at SSST offer a dual degree in partnership with the University of Buckingham, meaning graduates receive both a Bosnian and a UK-recognized diploma.
Global Recognition: Listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and recognized by the ECFMG (USA) and the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK.

Academic Environment: SSST follows an American-style curriculum. It is characterized by small class sizes and a high degree of interaction between professors and students.

Facilities: The campus features state-of-the-art pre-clinical laboratories, 3D medical visualization tools, and high-tech auditoriums.
Leading tertiary care hospital attached to the institution
Primary Teaching Site: The Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), the country's largest tertiary care hospital.
Clinical Network: SSST holds agreements with 14 medical institutions, including the State Hospital "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš," Emergency Services, and various specialized clinics.
Early Exposure: Students are introduced to Emergency Medicine in their first year, allowing them to interact with patients much earlier than in traditional European programs.
State University Affordability

Annual Tuition (MD): Approximately €13,200 per year (approx. $14,500 USD).
Dentistry & Pharmacy: Also approx. €13,200 per year.
Pre-Medical Year: For students needing extra science preparation, the fee is approx. €6,000.
