Established on November 1, 2021, Shija Academy of Health Sciences is the first homegrown private medical college in Northeast India. It operates under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with the Government of Manipur and is managed by Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI). The college is affiliated with Manipur University (some newer records also cite Dhanamanjuri University) and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Intake: 150 seats for the MBBS program.

Scholarships
NSP (PM-USP) Yojana: Eligible students with 80% in Class 12 and parental income ≤ ₹4.5 Lakhs can receive up to ₹82,000 per annum.

Internship Stipend: Final-year students receive a monthly stipend as per state and NMC regulations during their 12-month rotation.
