Healthcare Focus: Strong in Pharma & Sciences, But No MBBS College

While SVU excels in many science-related fields, it's crucial to note that it does not run its own constituent Medical College for the MBBS degree or operate a general teaching hospital for that purpose. Its strengths in health-related areas are significant but different:

• Pharmaceutical Sciences: The SVU College of Pharmaceutical Sciences is highly regarded, offering B.Pharm, M.Pharm (in various specializations like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry), and the professional Pharm.D program. 

• Life & Biomedical Sciences: Strong departments exist for disciplines like Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Virology, etc.

For MBBS and super-speciality medical care in Tirupati, the separate institution, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), plays that role. SVU focuses on foundational sciences, pharmacy, and allied fields.

The Financial Angle: State University Affordability

Being a state university, SVU provides access to quality education at generally very reasonable costs for its regular programs. Self-financed sections or courses will naturally have higher fees.

Life on Campus: The Hostel Experience

• AP State CETs: This is the primary route for most professional courses on campus.
