All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Vijaypur, Jammu (AIIMS Jammu) is a premier public university focused on medical sciences. It is not a state or private university but holds the esteemed status of an Institution of National Importance (INI). It was established by an Act of the Indian Parliament under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) initiative (Phase-V).
