Campus Living: Hostel Facilities

Residence on campus is typically mandatory for undergraduate students at AIIMS institutions.

• Accommodation: AIIMS Raipur provides separate, well-maintained hostel blocks for boys and girls (UG, PG, Interns, Residents). UG students (MBBS) are often provided with single-seater rooms from the second year onwards, a significant advantage. First-year students may be in double or triple-sharing rooms.

• Amenities: Hostels are furnished (bed, table, chair, cupboard), secure, and provide RO water, water heaters, and common recreation areas.

• Dining: Mess facilities are compulsory for all hostellers.

• Cost: Hostel and mess fees are additional to the tuition fees but are also highly economical.

• Hostel Fee (Annual): Hostel rent is nominal (e.g., ~₹990 per year). Other annual charges (pot fund, electricity, gym, etc.) are a few thousand rupees.

Admissions Process (National Level Only)

Admission to AIIMS Raipur is not handled by the Chhattisgarh state counselling (DME). It is done exclusively through national-level counselling.

• MBBS: Admission is strictly based on rank obtained in the NEET-UG examination. Counselling and seat allotment for 100% of seats are conducted centrally by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS, Govt. of India under the 'AIIMS' category.

• MD / MS / MDS / DM / M.Ch: Admission is strictly based on rank obtained in the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) or INI-SS (for Super Specialty), conducted by AIIMS Delhi.

• B.Sc (Hons) Nursing: Admission is based on the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Entrance Examination conducted annually by AIIMS Delhi, followed by centralized counselling.

• B.Sc (Paramedical): Admission is based on the AIIMS Paramedical Entrance Exam.

• Clinical Graduates (MBBS/MD): After completing the mandatory 1-year internship (with a stipend of ~₹25,000-₹30,000/month), graduates are highly competitive for PG seats (via INI-CET/NEET-PG).
