General Information

Suez Canal University (SCU), established in 1976 in Ismailia, is the pioneer of community-oriented medical education in the Middle East. Its Faculty of Medicine (FOM-SCU), inaugurated in 1978, was the first in Egypt to move away from traditional lecture-heavy teaching to a "Problem-Based, Community-Oriented" model. It remains a global benchmark, serving as a WHO Collaborating Center for health professions education.
