The T. D. Medical College (T. D. M. C.), located in Alappuzha (Alleppey), is a well-established Government Medical College in Kerala. Established in 1963, it was the first medical college in India to be started under a private-public sector initiative and was later fully taken over by the Government of Kerala. It is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur.
