Clinical training is conducted in a network of public and private reference centers in Madrid.

Admissions Process: Direct Selection System (Private)

Admission to Medicine at UAX is highly competitive and is based on an internal selection process.

• Access (Medicine): Admission is subject to passing the university's internal entrance exams.

• Language Requirement: An English B2 language level is required for admission.

• Selection Criteria: Selection is based on a scoring of multiple factors:

• Academic Record (High School GPA or equivalent)

• Specific Entrance Exam (70% of Score): Multiple-choice test covering Biology and Chemistry (50 questions).

• Competency Test: Psychometric and personality tests.

• Language Test (English): Level test.

• Personal Interview: Mandatory component of the process.

• Application Process: Starts by completing the admission application through the UAX Admissions Portal and submitting academic documentation.

Career Pathways & Placement

• Career Path: Graduates obtain the degree of Licenciado en Medicina, fully recognized across the EU/EEA.

• Postgraduate: To practice specialized medicine in Spain, graduates must pass the competitive national examination, the MIR (Médico Interno Residente), to gain access to specialty training (residency).

• Internship/Training: Clinical training is integrated throughout the 6-year program, with practicals in the extensive network of affiliated hospitals and health centers.
