Campus & Facilities

The faculty is housed in a modern U-shaped building designed to facilitate research and clinical training.

• Academic Wings: The left wing is dedicated to lecture halls and the Medical Library, while the right wing focuses on research laboratories and practical teaching.

• Simulation & Anatomy: The campus includes advanced dissection rooms and simulation laboratories where students practice clinical skills before entering the hospital.

The Biosanitary Complex: The faculty is physically connected to the Hospital General Universitario de Albacete via a pedestrian bridge, allowing for seamless transition between theory and practice.

Clinical Pillar: Teaching Hospitals

The clinical training is integrated with the Health Service of Castilla-La Mancha (SESCAM).

• Flagship Hospital: Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de Albacete (CHUA).

• Toledo Itinerary: Since 2020, students can choose a track where the first two years are spent in Albacete and the remaining four years are conducted at the University Hospital of Toledo (HUT).

• Clinical Rotations: Students begin clinical exposure early in the degree, rotating through specialized departments in oncology, neurology, and surgery.

Admissions & Fees (2025/2026)

Admission is strictly merit-based and follows the Spanish public university system.

• Entrance Score (Nota de Corte): For 2025/2026, the estimated cut-off score is approximately 12.99 – 13.0 (out of 14.0).

• Tuition Fees:

• EU Students: Approximately €1,130 per year (€18.87 per ECTS credit).

• Non-EU International Students: Generally pay the full cost, which is estimated around €6,800 – €7,000 per year (always verify via the official UCLM "Public Prices" bulletin).

• Application Window: Pre-registration typically opens in mid-June and closes in early July.

Student Life & Housing

Albacete is a highly affordable city for students compared to Madrid or Valencia.

• Accommodation:

• University Residences: UCLM manages several dorms such as Residencia Universitaria Benjamín Palencia.

• Private Flats: Most students rent apartments in the "Barrio de Medicina" or near the campus, where a room typically costs €200 – €300/month.

Dining: The faculty canteen offers a daily student menu for approximately €6.50 – €8.00.

Information for International Students

• UNEDasiss: Students with non-Spanish high school diplomas must process their credentials through UNEDasiss to calculate their equivalent Spanish grade.

• PCE Exams: To be competitive, international students usually need to take Specific Competency Tests (PCE) in Biology and Chemistry.

• Spanish Proficiency: A minimum of B2 Spanish is essential for academic success and mandatory for interacting with patients during hospital rotations.
