Healthcare Pillar: Teaching Hospitals

The clinical training is closely tied to the SESCAM (Health Service of Castilla-La Mancha).

• Primary Teaching Hospital: Hospital General Universitario de Ciudad Real (HGUCR).

• Toledo Itinerary: Students can choose a track where they move to the University Hospital of Toledo starting in the 3rd year to complete their clinical training.

Clinical Rotations: Small group rotations (maximum 3 students per clinical act) ensure personalized mentoring during hospital shifts.

• José Castillejo Residence: Located on the university campus, offering single and double rooms from approx. €450/month (often including board).

• El Doncel & José Maestro: Other popular university residences with libraries and sports facilities.

• Private Housing: Shared flats in the Perchel or Plaza de Toros areas are very common, with rooms typically costing €150 – €250/month.

• Dining (Mess):

• Campus Canteen: Located within the main university buildings, providing affordable daily menus for students.

• Pensión Completa: Most student residences include full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) in their monthly rate.

Admissions Process (2025 Intake)

Admission is highly competitive and determined by academic merit.

1. Cut-off Score (Nota de Corte): For the latest cycle, the score for Medicine was approximately 13.014 out of 14.0.

2. International Access: Students with non-Spanish diplomas must apply through UNEDasiss. International students generally need to take PCE exams in Biology and Chemistry to reach the required score.

3. Language Requirement: B2/C1 Spanish is essential for both theoretical exams and clinical interaction with patients.
