The faculty recently completed its move to the Health Sciences Campus (El Palmar), which is one of the most modern biosanitary hubs in Spain.

• Location: Avda. Buenavista, 32, 30120 El Palmar, Murcia, Spain.

• Facilities:

• LAIB (Biomedical Research Laboratories): A massive complex shared with the IMIB (Murcia Institute of Biosanitary Research).

• Clinical Simulation Center: High-fidelity suites that mimic hospital wards, emergency rooms, and surgical theaters.

• CEIB (Animal Experimentation Center): Supporting advanced research in biotechnology and medicine.

Legacy Campus: Some foundational or administrative functions may still take place at the historic Espinardo Campus, but medical training is now concentrated at the El Palmar site.

Clinical Training: Teaching Hospitals

The medical program is deeply integrated with the Murcia Health Service (SMS). Students rotate through a network of major tertiary hospitals:

1. Hospital Clínico Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca: Located directly across from the faculty; the primary teaching base and the largest hospital in the region.

2. Hospital General Universitario Reina Sofía.

3. Hospital Universitario Morales Meseguer.

Hospital Universitario Santa Lucía (Cartagena): Associated for specialized rotations.

Fee Structure and Costs (Estimated 2025)

As a public university, fees are regulated by the regional government of Murcia and are based on the price per ECTS credit.

• Colegio Mayor Azarbe: Located in the city center, offering traditional university housing with full board.

• Apartamentos Campus: Located on the Espinardo campus, featuring individual and shared apartments.

• Dining (Mess):

• The Health Sciences Campus features a specialized canteen for medical students and researchers.

• Fixed-price "Menú del día" is available for approximately €7 – €9.

• Most university halls include a full-board meal plan (3 meals/day).

Admissions Process for 2025

Admission is highly competitive and determined strictly by your entrance score.

1. Cut-off Score: Medicine consistently requires a score above 13.0 out of 14.0.

2. International Access: You must process your high school transcripts through UNEDasiss.

3. PCE Exams: Non-EU students usually take Specific Competency Tests (PCE) in Biology and Chemistry to boost their total score to the required level.

4. Deadlines: Applications usually open in June 2025.
