Universidad Leonardo da Vinci (ULDV)

The campus in Salto del Guairá is a modern facility dedicated to medical excellence.

• Academic Structure: The course follows a Semester System (Total 12 semesters).

• Advanced Laboratories: * Morphology & Anatomy: Students work with real cadavers and high-end 3D anatomical software.

  • Histology & Pathology: Equipped with high-resolution microscopes for cellular study.

  • Skill Labs: Includes manikins for practicing injections, catheterization, and basic life support (BLS).

Hospital training is the most critical part of the ULDV curriculum.

• Early Clinical Exposure: Unlike many countries where you see patients in the 3rd or 4th year, ULDV starts basic clinical visits and "Semiología" (patient history taking) much earlier.

• Regional Hospital of Salto del Guairá: This is a government-run high-volume hospital where students perform their main rotations. You get to see a wide variety of cases from trauma to tropical diseases.

• Internship (Internado Rotatorio): The 6th year is a mandatory internship. Students rotate through five core areas: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Gynecology & Obstetrics, and Public Health.
