General Information

The University of Medicine, Magway, which opened in 2001, is a well-known public medical school in Central Myanmar. People often call it the "Union University." It is different because it accepts students from all over the country, except for Yangon and Mandalay, which makes for a very diverse student body. The university switched to an Outcome-Based Integrated Curriculum (OBIC) in 2020 to bring its programs in line with international medical education standards.
